We are interested in individuals who are passionate about any aspect of microbial biodiversity, community assembly, and spatial self-organization.
Our group consists of individuals from a wide variety of scientific and engineering disciplines. You do not need to have a biology background. Current and former members include engineers, microbiologists, ecologists, evolutionary biologists, and environmental scientists. While the majority of our group members are experimentalists, their work often incorporates mathematical modelling. We therefore highly encourage theoreticians and mathematical modellers to also inquire about opportunities.
Opportunities exist to join our group at any academic level. BS, MS, and PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers are welcome to inquire about opportunities. We also support visiting students and researchers from other laboratories.
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact David Johnson directly to discuss opportunities.
